I imagine you’ve ever had the experience of sending a message to somebody, only to discover after you’ve clicked on ‘send’ that your message also includes a typo, a silly spelling mistake, or maybe you could have expressed yourself differently. In that case, you know just how frustrating that can be!
Did you know that you can correct errors in your Messages for a short period of time after you have sent the message?
&
Are you aware that you can also correct errors and make edits to your posts, after your post has gone live.
How to Correct Errors in Your Messages.
All of us are human and it’s easy to make a ‘typo’ or an error in a message we send from our LinkedIn Inbox, only to discover the error AFTER the message has been sent.
So how long can you as the author correct a message on LinkedIn, after the message has been sent? You can edit errors or delete the message for upto 60 minutes after you have sent the message.
Here’s how.
Firstly, open up your Inbox and then open the message you want to correct.
1.) Then hover your Icon in the upper right section of your message until the Emoji menu appears, then to the right, click on the 3 dots.
2.) Click on Edit and your editable message will appear below.
3.) Edit your message and click on Save.
4.) Now the edited version of your message will replace your original message and be sent through to your connection.
This message edit feature is very useful in sending the right message about you, your business, your products, services and solutions or even just building the professional relationship with your connections and ‘positioning’ you and your brand as professionals in your area of expertise. I’m sure you will find it useful!

Have you ever put up a post, only to discover as soon as it’s gone live on LinkedIn that you could have written parts of it and maybe expressed yourself differently, or you could have presented and spaced it better than you have?
It’s easy to edit any part of your post, but there are a few guidelines to follow.
Here's how.
Important:
Do not correct any errors or make any edits to your posts within 20 minutes from when your post first went live, or you will reduce your reach.
After 20 minutes have elapsed, here’s how to edit your posts.
1.) Click on the 3 dots in the top right hand corner of your post.
2.) Then from the menu that appears, select Edit Post.
3.) Remember to click Save in the bottom right after you've made your edits.
You can edit posts going back days and even weeks prior.
Now you know how to edit or correct any errors in your messages and your posts!
Here's to your continued LinkedIn for business success!
